Chapter Eleven

One traditional audio technology I would use in the class are audiotapes. Audiotapes such as books on tape, can could help students establish better learning skills along with comprehending the reading better. I always acquired more information when hearing the reading. When reading it to yourself, you could miss something or get distracted easily. So, audio books could be very beneficial to students such as myself. One traditional visual technology, I would use would be VCR/Film Projectors. Although, VCR tapes are very outdated, there are still several useful videos are there that have not been updated. It is important for students to learn from those tapes because they are still very important to education. One emerging audio technology I would use are podcasts. I had a teacher in high school that made podcasts of his lectures for students who were not able to attend a certain class. He made these podcasts available online for students to apprehend from their own home. It was also very helpful when it came time to review for a quiz/test. I really liked this idea and I plan to use it someday. One emerging visual technology I would use inside a classroom someday would be, Youtube. It seems as if Youtube has a video for everything. Most projects that I have done that involved having a video, I found one on Youtube. There is just so much out there on that website and it would be very useful to have in class, to show videos on a topic relevant to what I was teaching.
