Based on the information in chapter 6, would you prefer to teach in a classroom that had more or less digital technologies? Why or why not?
Based on the information I attained from chapter six, I was convinced to use more digital technologies. I am a big fan of technology and I love learning new things. When I was in high school, only a few of my teachers had Smart Boards, and I felt that I learned better in those classes versus the ones that did not. It was fun and the students got to be more involved. As a prior student, I also got excited when we used computers or lap tops. You want the students to have fun in your class but also learn new things. Although, digital technology can be distracting, if you keep your students on track, they are great learning tools and will overall be very beneficial to the classroom. Chapter six illustrates that there are countless software out there to meet academic and administrative needs. One software mentioned in chapter six that I would love to incorporate in my classroom someday are Electronic Books (e-books). It allows students to take digital notes and also read the text aloud. There were many times in school where I wanted to write down notes inside the book what I thought about a particular section but could not because it was the schools property. But if every student had their on e-book, it would make things much easier and allow students to learn at their own pace.
